Took nearly 3 hours to get our meal and then it was nothing special. Fisherman's basket and am extra bowl of chips that was supposed to be wedges. The band was great but I would never go they again too see them

We hired out a room at The Grand for a pre 40th party. It was the perfect venue to get ready with the owner accommodating everting we needed from food, drinks and cake to allowing a hairdresser to come in and do our hair! The owner was so warm and welcoming and I highly recommend the Grand for any special function or occasion!!

The food was excellent and the service was even better. The staff were friendly, happy and genuinely wanted to be there. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful outdoor beer garden and a homely indoor setting for something different inside. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. P.s Beef Ragu on mash was delicious

Thanks so much for hosting our work Christmas party, the team hasn’t stopped talking about how good it was. Our regional manager joined us for the night and was very impressed by the work you’ve done to the hotel, and the professionalism of your staff. Our meals were all great, I personally think the stuffing included with the roast was amazing.All in all we had a great night, and I won’t hesitate in recommending The Grand for anyone seeking a work function venue

Esther and her team at the Grand in Northam have provided catering for me on numerous occasions when organising work functions. The quality of the food is outstanding and is presented so beautifully. I have recieved such good feedback from work colleagues stating how wonderful the catering is and asking who provided it. Esther is such a professional, lovely lady to deal with. At the moment this feels like a high 4, but it feels new and new places always deserve to have their chance at success. It's a train station/travel themed decor restaurant with some classic dishes and some newer ones. Staff are enthusiastic to get feedback and improve, and I think they'll get it right, plus they're friendly and know what they're doing. Worth a visit. Decor is gorgeous.

We were blown away by the decor and beautiful history of the Grand Hotel - and topped by Esther (owner) and her kindness and welcome. The lunch of the delicious home made Guinness pies left us so contented and happy we’d found out about the Grand by speaking to a local in Northam.An absolute “must visit” for a meal and appreciation of Northam’s heritage. And chat with Esther :)
